AMERICA TO MEXICO FINE ART ARTIST VIC HERMAN
    This is an outstanding, beautiful
    Fine Art
    Limited Edition
    Lithograph “Heritage”
    Signed & Numbered
    by
    famous
    American Artist Vic Herman
    (1919-1999).
    In this Fine Art Lithograph
    “Heritage”
, Mr. Herman portrays the true feeling of the Mexican people, the feeling beneath the surface. It is their
    “Heritage” –
their wisdom and their national pride – passed from generation to generation. This young mother knows this now and in time she will teach her daughter! The artist’s deep love of the Mexican people and the Mexican culture is clearly evident here.
    Mr. Herman
was born in Massachusetts, but grew up in Los Angeles where he learned to speak Spanish and nurtured a great love and respect for his Mexican-American schoolmates and neighbors.
    During World War II
, Mr. Herman was a field correspondent for “Stars and Stripes” and created the character
    Winnie the WAC
for the U.S. Navy. He later created other figures including
Elsie the Cow and Reddy Kilowatt.
His illustrations were carried in virtually all of the national magazines of his day.
The artist was nationally and internationally-known as

    The Norman Rockwell of Mexico

because he portrayed the Mexican people in their own culture, doing their normal day-to-day activities as well as at their special times, just as Mr. Rockwell did for the American people. The artist often gave his artwork such
whimsical titles as: “Eating Up the Profits”
    ,

Patience Is the Companion of Wisdom

    ,
“A Bellyful Means a Happy Heart”,
    “Two Heads Are Better Th
    an One”, and
“Birth of a Tycoon of Manana”.
    The
    “Heritage” Image
    was part of the

    Many Faces of Mexico Exhibition

that traveled extensively in Mexico and the United States under the sponsorship of
both the Mexican and American Governments
    . In February 1974,
    American Artist Magazine
    published its
    article
    by Frederic Whitaker,

Vic Herman: Ambassador with a Brush
“, a name by which Mr. Herman also became known. His
artwork is today included in numerous public, private, and corporate fine art collections.
    This
    “Heritage” F
    ine Art Limited Edition Lithograph
    is
    number 151
    from the artist

    s
limited edition of 300 numbered lithographs plus Proofs. Its
image size is 18½” high by 25½” wide; its paper size 21½” by 28½”.
Mr. Herman signed the lithograph in the bottom right-hand margin below the image and wrote the edition number on the left.
    The Lithograph is
