If you have an MPC2500:
Akai used two types of pad sensors on the Akai MPC2500. The types are labled on the sensor sheet either “
INTERLINK
” (these sensors) or “
SENSITRONICS
“. These sensors are
NOT
the “
SENSITRONICS”
type. If your unit has the
“SENSITRONICS”
type, these sensors will
NOT
work – The two sensor types are not interchangable, you will have to open your unit to know which type you have.

The pad upgrades do include some pad components that are not the factory Akai parts. These parts are designed and engineered to function above the standards of the originals.
